In honor of Pride Month, Nerdwallet released a list of the top communities recognized for tolerance and acceptance for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans. 

To compile its list, Nerdwallet factored in the number of same-sex partnerships, LGBT-friendly laws, and safety based on crime data. 

Here’s how the communities stacked up:
