You may have an easier time prospecting in certain cities compared to others. Realtor.com®’s research team recently identified the best cities for making new friends, and who knows, these friendly places may also be a boon for your prospecting efforts. They reviewed data from 2013 University of Utah study on social interaction potential of the 42 largest metro areas. The study assessed how strangers in cities behave toward one another, such as the chances of meeting on the subway, striking up conversations in a coffee shop, or bumping into one another on the street. In its study, realtor.com®’s research team also factored in the percentage of single adults, number of libraries, individuals participating in Meetup.com groups, active in volunteer work, church congregations, and more. They pinpointed the following 10 cities as the best for making new friends: Austin, Texas Milwaukee, Wis. San Francisco Pittsburgh, Pa. Buffalo, N.Y. Portland, Ore. St. Louis, Mo. Columbus, Ohio New Orleans, La. Washington, D.C.
